MAHIYA

Mahiya – meaning ‘My Love', is the brainchild and creation of husband and wife team, Alex and Ryan Hutchinson. Aptly named, this couple has poured their love, energy and passion into creating a distinctive and stunning collection of bohemian luxe treasures under the Mahiya label. 

INSPIRATION & HISTORY

At its foundation, the bohemian lifestyle is truly what inspires the Mahiya brand and line of products, all handmade with love. After growing up in Australia, Alex and Ryan were both fortunate enough to travel to exotic locations around the world and experience the charm of different cultures and places. In addition to their ingrained love of the ocean, in 2013 they set out to create a collection of bohemian leather bags, wallets, shoes and accessories that represented the beauty they encountered on both their bohemian adventures and at home.

The signature Mahiya style is colourful and fun, bold yet whimsical, intricate yet carefree. A contradiction in terms, the label has created an exclusive style that offers something different for the bohemian-spirited ladies of the world. Signature styles include beautifully hand tooled leather designs, tassels and fringing, bright pinks, turquoise embroidery and Guatemalan fabric inlays.

All leather used by Mahiya is ethically sourced and sustainable, Each and every style is hand designed in Australia and crafted by our talented team of local artisans in Bali, we love working with our gifted team of entrepreneurs.
