Colour doesn’t matter, you can find beautiful boho pieces that are vibrant and colourful or more moody and earthy- so there is something for everyone.
Below we have put together a detailed list of essential staples to add to your bohemian wardrobe:
Find your base clothing
This is your starting point of putting together your boho outfit. Maxi, mini or midi dress or skirt, oversized blouse or singlet. Finding a mix of a few different styles of clothing that you love will be a few pieces that you turn over time after time.
The Jaase Maisey comes in a mini, maxi and jumpsuit, perfect as a base for your boho look. Check more of the Jaase Clothing Collection.
Introduce patterns
Look for prints that are unique and have intricate detailing. We used to tie boho prints with Flower Power, and while that is still one of our favourite looks, these days nothing is off limits when it comes to working with a boho pattern. But don’t worry, if patterns aren’t your thing, we absolutely love a classic, neutral tone with some lace detailing.
Vintage Tee’s and flared jeans
Do we need to say more? Vintage tee’s paired with any sort of denim are iconic, but flare jeans just take it to the next level.
Footwear
Boots, sandals and slips ons are an absolute must have! And luckily, there are endless styles out there. These styles of footwear will give you the ultimate look when paired with your bohemian outfits. You can’t go wrong with ankle boots, knee high/ just below the knee, Birkenstock’s style, tie up sandals or a classic pair of leather or suede slip ons.
Leather
Complete the look with some genuine leather! Grab yourself a tassel bag, oversized wallet or crossbody handbag or a detailed clutch. The more unique, the better!
Chunky Jewellery
When we think of boho jewellery we think statement earrings, multiple bangles, layered necklaces, and stack rings. Rock your gold, rose gold or silver- you decide.
Layers
Layer up with pieces like a vest or kimono over jeans and a vintage tee or your favourite maxi dress.
Head wraps and hair bands
There is just something about head wraps and textured hair that screams boho! Add a wrap to mermaid wave hair, natural curls, or a hair band/ scrunchie to a ‘bad hair day’ ponytail.
Wide brim or fedora hat
There is a hat out there for any season and occasion. Floppy brimmed, felt hats are perfect for the cooler months, or simple straw hats and fedora’s are what you want for afternoon picnics with the girls, or a weekend brunch date.
Slouchy knit cardi’s
Boho fashion is achievable all year round! For any aesthetic, but for a bohemian flair, opt for lacy-knit, fringed, and slouchy styles.
The beauty of your boho wardrobe will be that between the clothing and accessories, you can use your staple items to create a different look every time.
